Service Technician

Pittsburg Tractor has a career opportunity available for a qualified individual seeking employment in the equipment dealer industry as a Service Technician.  

 

Title: Service Technician 

Location: Pittsburg, TX  

Reports to: Manager 

 

Position Responsibilities:  

• Responsible for independently performing diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on agricultural, and construction equipment 

• Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders.  

• Responsible for complete and thorough documentation of machine information, diagnostics, and repairs performed on work orders and on-time submittal of information.  

• Required to participate in manufacturer-specific service training programs.  

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment. 

 

Qualifications:  

• Must be able to troubleshoot and perform complex repairs correctly in the shop such as pumps, hydraulic, engine, transmissions, HVAC, and electrical issues. 

• Minimum 3yrs experience troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines and after treatment systems 

• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment using electronic and manual equipment to determine failure.  

• Proficient Computer Skills – Preferred experience with Kubota KOBD-ACE Diagnostics Tools 

• Must have steady employment history 

• Must have own tools 

• Diesel Tech School is highly desired 

• Ability to lift over 50 lbs.  

 

Education/Experience:  

• Minimum 3 years of work-related skill, knowledge, and/or dealer experience preferred 

• Extensive knowledge of agriculture and construction equipment operations and mechanical functions
